The popular favorite had a tough time with the Latvian's way of playing. In addition the Swiss team had troubles playing efficiently. Switzerland had a good head start into the game and from the beginning consequently tried for closure. Latvia had troubles releasing themselves from the clutches of the Swiss team and had all their five players on their own side of the field, in order to destroy the opponent that way. Supported by a frenetic crowd, Tom Engler and his team tried to turn their advantage into goals. Latvia had a very good defence and concentrated predominantly on countering. It happend as was expected. After numerous forfeited chances by Weber, Keller and Amtthias Hofbauer, all of a sudden the leading goal for Latvia fell. Janis Ingits scored after a conter in the net; Roger Tonz was left alone by his team mates. While Rieder and Balmer were confined to bench penalties, the Latvians were able to play for almost a minute with five against three players, but the Swiss boxplay worked outstandingly. Marcel Kaltenbrunner's comments on the first period: "I noted initial anxiety in the team. For many players this was their first gig at a WFC, furthermore the euphoric crowd in our backs gave us "goose bumps". In the second period the Swiss players advanced more determined from their cabin. The alleged overtaking point was not counted due to goal area offside. Already in the first minute of the game though, Michale Zurcher achieved the first goal of this A-Devision WFC game. With help of a pass from Engel, he was able to score. As a result the Swiss were able to play in superior number. Kaltbrunner and Matthias Hofbauer failed though due to the goal keeper, warding off the balls excellently, and the good blocking work of the Latvian team. In the 28. minute though action began: In coproduction of the brothers Hofbauer, the Swiss team took over the lead in superior number. In the same minute Keller increased the score to 3:1, with help of a pass by Matthias Hofbauer. The preliminary decision seemed final, though the Latvian national team fought on dauntlessly. The last minutes of the second period were marked by the many chances of the Swiss, though they all failed to materialize into scores. If you expected a competent Swiss team in the final period, you were dissapointed. Already in the first minute the overtaking point was made by Janis Alps. "We neglected to achieve another goal after the 3:1", national coach Urban Karlsson commented. The defence of the Latvian team was well placed and the goal keeper Blinds did excellent work". The spectators felt that they were needed and encouraged the team enthusiastically. A phase of increased pressure by the Swiss team followed. Many shots were made on the goal, but no scores were achieved. If you don't shoot the goals, well then you receive them. In the 50. minute the Latvians happily tied the game. Janis Jansons shot at Tonz from behind the goal and the ball rolled over the line. A sensation was about to be initiated. At this point the game had really begun. The Swiss team tried to increase the pressure again and in the 52. minute Engel shot the winning goal with help of a pass by Bill. "It was a tough piece of work, important though was that we ultimately won. Already tomorrow is our next game, where we will surely improve our play", Marcel Kaltenbrunner is convinced. 5. "Get up if you are real Swiss!" the stadium DJ announces two minutes before the end of the game. Again an impressive crowd - 2000 spectators made their way to the Schluefweg stadium in Kloten - didn't need to be asked twice and sang enthousiastically at the top of their voice. What they had seen in the game pleased them very much. A Swiss team, that had improved immensely since their last laborious opening game and was bursting with excitement and joy for the game, played convincingly with a collective performance and could carry their role as favourite with pride. Denmark 's goalkeeper Morten Andersen - 4 years ago voted into the WFC All-Star Team - will not forget May 17th so fast. Fifteen times he had to reach behind himself, a large amount of goals, that usually only happens against team Sweden or Finland . The Swiss defender Thomas Weber, being spared today, commented on the game with sportradio.ch from the media gallery and suspected the outcome even before the game had started - "The pressure has diminished quite a bit after the important opening game"- nevertheless the Swiss had to wait a long time for the shower of goals to fall, they even had to deal with a leading point for the Danes by Ronnie Graugaard in the 13th minute. Practically with the second chance for a goal the quick Dane overwhelmed the goalkeeper Reto Ryffel. Defender Michael Flury with a long shot and his colleague with team Wil, Christoph Hofbauer, turned the deficit into a lead in the 17th and 18th minute. The Swiss were the clearly dominating team up until now, though they weren't able to turn the many scoring chances into goals. With continuous rotation they costantly provided a restlessness among the Danish defence, in addition the passes were smoother and more forceful than yesterday against the Latvians. The problem child "utilization of chances" was taken care of in the second part of the game. Marcel Kaltenbrunner shot a goal in the 25th minute shortly after Graugaard hit the goal frame. Two minutes later Raphael Keller completed a solo by Matthias Hofbauer and achieved the 4:1. The problem was solved for the Swiss: Roger Stegmann (29th) and again Matthias Hofbauer (32nd) provided a safe lead, only Michael Andersens score during power play in the 36th minute dampened the Swiss score a little. The sprouting hope of the Danes was crushed quickly again by two players of the new Champions, teamWiler-Ersigen, first by defender Flury (43rd) and then by Keller with his unimitateable way, two more goals were achieved to the 8:2. Batterkinder, who wasn't sure he could even take part at the WFC, increasingly developed to a Gerd Muller of the Swiss nationa team. His gift of always being in the right place and his blind understanding for the game with the two Hofbauers cause every opponent a headache. 5. It was besides honour also a game about preventing relegation. If the division games go according to common expectations, the looser of this very game will probably play against relegation next Friday. That's why the slogan for this match was the same for both teams: Loosing prohibited! From the view of the German goalkeeper, the game started in the same manner as it had ended yesterday against the Czech Republic. After 45 seconds, the first ball passed by Michael Schuster. Schreiner took advantage of the passive German defensive attitude and placed a shot in the far corner. Nevertheless, the Germans reacted promptly and had some good chances. But the second goal was against Germany again as after a quick counter attack Bale turned a back-bouncing ball into a score. After this goal, the level of the game constantly dropped and the game got gruffer and gruffer. The helpers were kept busy adjusting the boards. If this game was an example of the often quoted international roughness, one has to ask if this is still worth to be called floorball. Germany was successful with this “tactic” and was able to shorten the score to 1:2 briefly before the end of the first third as Holtz scored after one of the few direct passes. In the second third, the game continued in a similar manner. Besides the Austrian team, also the referees evinced difficulties in keeping up with the typical German virtues. A crowd was several times standing around the referees and leading discussions. However, the rough style finally led to a bench penalty. But the Austrians missed out on this promising opportunity and couldn't expand their score. It advanced how it was supposed to advance; Germany came better and better into play and put more pressure on the Austrian goalkeeper. Their efforts got compensated in the 31st minute. This time, Holtz served Hartwig and suddenly the score was 2:2. Austria was behind for only two minutes and Holtz (goal) and Hartwig (assist) were successful together again. Austria was still busy with their defense and didn't get down catching up. They were trying to keep up with the physical part of the game. For this reason, the game-playing had the longer the least to do with floorball. One minute before the end of the second third, the Germans extended their lead due to a quickly performed free-hit and the score was now 4:2. During the last third, Austria made their last attempt to speed up, but not even while playing power play did they produce dangerous situations in front of the German goal. Germany remained at the wheel and scored a few more times and finally won the game somewhat high with 9:2. 5th WFC, A-Division, Group 1 Germany - Austria 9-2 (1-2, 3-0, 5-0) Saalsporthalle, Zurich Sykora Martin / Sykora Ondrej (CZE) 200 Spectator Scorer: 1. The kangaroos are the public's favourite on every WC, so that's also now the case here in Zurich. With limited experience but a big fighting spirit, they gave their best in front of the audience in the Saalsporthalle. The crowd appreciated their commitment and supported them until the end. After 38 minutes and 58 seconds, Scott O'Brien scored for the Australian team. Besides that, there wasn't much to get for the boys of head coach Toni Kokkonen, because the Estonians were tactically and technically stronger and scored at regular intervals. After the first third, the score was already 4:0 and 6:0 after the second third. In the last third, the Estonian team limited their action on keeping the score and blowing the shut out of their goalkeeper Ivo Lepik. 5. After a few minutes, Slovenia was clearly better positioned and scored for the first time. The Netherlands reacted promptly and succeeded in even up the game after only two minutes. The game turned out to be very balanced until the end of the first third. After a post shot of the Oranjes (what would have been the evening-up to 3:3), the Slovenians were able to score again and were now two goals ahead. In the second third, the Netherlands put more pressure on the Slovenian team and tried to take advantage of the Slovenian keeper's insecurity. The first line with Rob Labruyere from Bulach in Switzerland scored with this tactic twice and this led to a new score of 4:4. The Netherlands absolutely wanted to win this game and played accordingly offensively. They gained the lead twice, but Slovenia could always even up. The distribution of the scores meets the actual final score, because Slovenia never gave up and fought until the last minute of the game. 5. "We didn't expect to win this game against Italy, but I'm nevertheless disappointed by the high score" said Singapore Goalkeeper Pierre Michel Boudville after the game. The Italians scored three goals between the 6th and 8th minute to take the early and already decisive lead. "We started well, but the Italians took advantage of every mistake we made". Boudville continues, "we obviously didn't have many chances to score". It was no surprise that the Italians won that high. With many players evolving in the top European leagues (2 in Sweden, one in Norway and 14 players from the Swiss National League A or B) the Italians showed more technicals skills and acted far better as a team. The Asians on the other hand could not take advantage of their velocity and showed up only occasionnally in front of the Italian net. Interview with Pierre Michel Boudville (Goalkeeper Team Singapore) Did you expect to lose that clearly ? Pierre Michel Boudville: "We knew it'd be hard, but we tried our best. We were aware that the Italians are the best team in our group. We tried to play well defensively and not allow to many goals, maybe even score a few. But we did not succeed. We are now looking forward to the next game agains Great Britain." Do you expect a closer game ? Pierre Michel Boudville: "Sure. Two years ago we already played against them and only lost 2-1. I'm sure they have improved their game since then, but so have we!! Are you enjoying yourself here in Switzeland? Pierre Michel Boudville: "It's great, especially for the younger players in our team who are new in the National squad. They are excited about participating in a World Championship so far from home. Interview with Pasqualino Santoro (Team Italy) Pasci, a successful start with a 11:0 victory and a hat trick? Santoro: "Naturally! Not only am I satisfied with my performance, but of course with the team's effort as well. It was very important for us to play a convincing game, because Singapoor will perhaps be the weakest team in the group." How do you judge the other rivals in your group? Santoro: "It won't be a picnic! If you consider that Singapore also has made tremendous improvements in the past two years, we are excited and keen on meeting up against the other rivals. USA as well as Britain are known fighters that never give up. Even Hungary may not be underestimated." What are your goals for this tournament? Santoro: "Our goal is to take part in the B-Finals of the WFC. Hard work is cut out for us, though I am convinced of our strengths. If we concentrate and play as a united team, I am confident we will succeed." 5. Copyright © by Swiss Unihockey ===================================== Australia - Estonia 1-6 Norway declasses Austria One-way floorball in Saalsporthalle: a lively Norwegian team doesn't let the climber Austria any chance and wins 17:1 Austria had a little bit of hope in the beginning as Austrian Joel Bale from Winterthur in Switzerland scored in the 4 th minute after a quick counter attack. The sons of the Alps didn't hold back and tried to keep up with the Norwegians. Until the 7 th minute, they actually succeeded in doing that, but afterwards the game suddenly changed after Willy Fauskanger and Andreas Sletten from Norway both scored twice within four minutes. Now the Norwegians had lost their nervousness and controlled the game professionally. Raymond Evensen scored a goal in the 17 th minute and the score was now 5:1. Also in the second period did the situation not change anymore. The North men were technically and tactically one or two classes better than their adversary. They let the ball roll and the Austrian run and they scored regularly. Austrian goalkeeper Stefan Weissenbacher who is normally playing in the Swiss local team Zumikon in the first league sometimes aroused pity. The boys around Anders Karinen meandered themselves through the Austrian lines in style, and made them look like a high school team. . Geir Nordseth (24.), Ketil Kronberg (24.), Glen Evensen (27.), Morten Finstad (28.), Raymond Evensen (35. and 40.) and Lars-Erik Sikkeland (38.) were the scorers in this third. Keeper Andreas Bohm from Swiss local club Rychenberg replaced his colleague luckless Weissenbacher. Bohm, who only wore his legendary red shirt for the pre-training and then switched to a top modern Salming-shirt with the unfamiliar number 66, didn't have to wait along time until he received his first goal. He remained unbeaten for 23 seconds and then Kristoffer Kronberg scored to 14:1. In the continuation, the Norwegians slowed considerably down and let the Austrians play more their own game. But still, goals only occurred on one side, Finstad in the 50 th minute, Fauskanger in the 52 nd and Sikkeland one minute before the end. The final score was consequently 17:1. Accordingly, Norway 's head coach Anders Karinen was satisfied: “The victory was easy to achieve. First, we wanted too much and felt blocked, that's probably why we got the surprising 0:1. But we took advantage of our good team spirit and didn't let ourselves rattle.” Karinen also understood that the Austrian team couldn't keep up with their speed and got some preventable goals. “I have expected the Austrians to be more defensive and that made scoring pretty easy.” On the other hand, Karinen prepares himself for a completely different game against Sweden . On the last World Championship, his team lost against Sweden 1:13. “This loss made my team insecure for the rest of the Championship and I'm happy that this time we had a better start.” Karinen takes hope from the preparing games against the Swiss team on the 3-nations-tournament in Danish Bronderslev. “We have shown good defensive work against the Swiss team. I hope we will succeed on Tuesday against Sweden as well.” 5. Just 11 seconds later they doubled up when Captain Berardino netted in the 0:2. Right afterwards, the Russians could not profit from a 2-man power play, all shots were held by the excellent Danish Goalkeeper Morten Andersen. Anderson was voted Goalkeeper of the tournament at the World Championships 4 years ago. In the middle period the Danes highered their lead to 0:3. The Russians, who up until then were the better team, did not give up. All of the sudden they seemed to loosen up. Within 4 minutes and 47 seconds they managed to score 5 goals! Every pass, every shot was perfectly executed and the Sbornaja was on a hot strike. Shortly before the second period ended, the Danes cut the Russian lead in half. 5:4 after 40 minutes, the last period promised to be full of suspense. The equalizer came in the first minute of the final period, when the Danes executed a free-kick successfully. While the Danes were cheering their comeback goal, a Russian player was sent to the penalty box because he argued with the referee. The Danes went on playing powerplay and scored the go-ahead goal 7 minutes before the end. Russia had some very good opportunities in the finishing minutes, but could not manage to come back. Russians played quite impressive, but maybe the bigger routine of the Scandinavians was the key to win this game. ==================================== Czech Republic - Germany 20-1 Czech Republic: Swiss Competitor for the podium The Czechs master their first chore on this World Championship without any major difficulties and beat Germany 20:1. However, at the beginning of the game not all Czech players seemed to be fully concentrated. After only 50 seconds, they got their first penalty for incorrect substitution imposed. The following power play of the German team indeed showed the significant class difference between the two teams. The Czech controlled the ball cleverly and only shortly before the end of the penalty, Czech goalkeeper Tomas Kafka had to hold the first ball. After the penalty, the Czech totally took over the game and Tomas Trnavsky scored in the forth minute. Subsequently, the German team obviously struggled in building up their own game because they were permanently disturbed by Czech players. Apparently, the tactic of the Czech head coach was to provoke mistakes in the German defense line with aggressive fore checking. Such a mistake was also the cause for the second goal by the Czech team. German goalkeeper Michael Schuster, who plays with SC Schaffhausen in Switzerland in the second league, prevented more goals against his team with some brilliant saves. But after a nice solo by Tomas Trnavsky, even he was powerless against the third goal. The Czechs continued to play offensively and scored again in the 15th minute. The first third finished with two goals in a row by Radim Cepek, who is well known in Switzerland because he plays in the Swiss local team HC Rychenberg Chur. In the second third, the Czech team didn't make any big changes in their game and added a goal almost every minute. After the tenth goal, they retreated a little bit and Germany finally found its way back into the game. But it was still unsure if they could succeed in scoring at least once or if Tomas Kafka could celebrate his first shutout. Shortly before the end of the second third, the Germans scored for the first time, and as it would turn out later, also for their last time in this game: Andreas Gahlert scored a goal after a free-hit. In the last period, Germany had exchanged their goalkeeper. The new man, Patrik Schmidt, had to grab the ball out of the net after only 32 seconds when Radim Cepek scored for the third time and raised the score to 12:1. Captain Tomas Trnavsky got his personal hat-trick as well. At least by now, you couldn't get around taking pity on the German team. As conclusion, the Czech team is in its top form and played focused throughout the whole game even against so-called mavericks. As foreseen, Germany will have to fight hard against their relegation. Interview with Radim Cepek (player in the Czech team) What's your opinion about today's game? Radim Cepek: "Today we focused on the final score. That's why we gave 100 per cent during the whole game. I'm surprised how weakly the Germany played, though. I was expecting more resistance." Tomorrow you're playing against World Champion Sweden. What do you expect? Radim Cepek: "Hopefully, Sweden won't beat us down with the same final score as we won today! (laughs) Well, today we concentrated our energy on the offensive work, but tomorrow we will have to play more defensively. We will try to keep the game open as long as possible and score during the last period. There's always a way, even against Sweden." What are the strengths of the Czech team? Radim Cepek: "We are a tournament team and we will get better and better until the end of the week." And what are your weaknesses? Radim Cepek: "Our team doesn't always play according to our agreed tactic. Sometimes we play too quickly ahead and loose patience." What's your goal at this World Championship? Radim Cepek: "A medal!" 5. The fianl result wasn't made until the 52. minute, when Fabio Terlizzi scored his third point to end with 5:2. The inflateable paper snakes, that are distributed to the audience before the game, gave the match between USA and Italy a typical American touch, though the sympathies and support of the mostly young crowd - several school classes from the area were present and provided a great World Championship atmosphere - lay clearly on Italy 's side. The Azzuris let down their fans though until seconds before the first period ended, when defence leader Roberto Beffa achieved the equalizing goal to 1:1 with a precise long shot. The Americans presented themselves cleary better than during their weak performance against Hungary . They shielded their keeper Adam Troy excellently from the Italian team. Florian Schmied even suprisingly achieved the leading point in the 14th minute. In the second period the Italians appeared more committed as well, though once again they had to wait a long time until they finally took over the lead for the first time. Captain Fabio Terlizzi increased the score to 3:1 with back to back shots in the 36th and 39th minute. Terlizzi, receiving only minimal game time during the Championships with vice-champion Malans, initially scored with a long shot and after that scored another goal with help of a double pass by Rino Bartolo; keeper Troy was powerless against the two shots. Through a mistake by defender Michale Frotscher, the US team was able to summon up hope, the young player Philip Winkler scored to 3:2. Hannes Mahlknecht corrected the mistake of his team member just 41 seconds later and achieved 4:2 for the Italians. Again Terlizzi managed in superior number to achieve the final decision (53rd minute). Fabio Mutti's goal in the 57th minute then, again outnumbering the American Team, meant the final result of the game. Italy earned this important victory with more effort, though they had to fight against the persistent American opponent. Excellent performance was shown by defence strategist Roberto Beffa from the Swedish 1st divisionist Varmdo, who with his calm and magistral overview of the situation, reminds of the Schluefweg-hero Anders Eldebrink. Also in top form and knowing well how to play to the gallery, was the lively forwarder Domenico Pondaco, who never lost a ball und his effort was almost rewarded with a goal. His penalty was a close miss in the 52nd minute. Star of the game though, was clearly "il capitano" Fabio Terlizzi, who was the best scorer with 3 points and his rushes repeatedly cut holes into the US defense. 5. They fought bravely but were swept away in a 1-16 defeat. Finland started its program in the World Floorball Championships 2004 on the second day. After the 20-1 victory of the Czech Republic over Germany and Norway 's 16-1 walk over Austria , another high result was expected when the Finns dressed up against Russia . The Finns didn't go easy on themself. They started the game with only two lines which helped the quality of the game immensely. The two lines consisted of the best what Finnish floorball currently can present: Kohonen, Ohman, Hintikka, Jarvi and so on… In the first minutes, the team of Coach Pasi Tilander showed the Russians where the match was going to lead. Neimo, Ohman and Hintikka tested the Russian goalkeeper Pronyakov from good positions. It took nine minutes until the ball was in the Russian net for the first time. 20-year-old defender Tatu Vaananen scored the first goal. An excellent floorball delicacy could be admired after ten minutes. After a penalty was called against Russian player Drushinskij, the Finns proved their skills in the first power play situation of the game. Hannes Ohman from Swedish champion Balrog shot three times on the Russian net, but only hit the crossbar, the goalkeeper or even missed the net. Still, there were plenty of other occasions to practice in goal scoring. Two goals within 12 seconds by Hintikka and Ohman followed in the first period to give the Finns a secure lead. With six seconds left in the first period, the Russians took advantage of a mistake in the Finnish defensive play and scored their only goal of the game. They fought bravely during the whole game. The Finnish stars were just better and gave their opponents an unsolvable task. The longer the game was going, the more the Russian's power tank was lacking energy. The Finns scored nine of their goals in the last period. They managed superbly to let the Russians run into the trap of their clever play. Markus Neimo, who scored three goals against Russia , compared the first game of Finland at this WFC with a practice. “It was important for us to get used to the floor and the atmosphere here in Kloten”. He's well aware that the opponents will get better in the forthcoming of the WFC. “We tried our best and in my opinion played very good. We have to keep this attitude. Switzerland is the main opponent in our group. I'm looking forward to this game,” he said. Previous to the showdown on Thursday against Switzerland , the team of Coach Pasi Tilander will meet up with Latvia and Denmark . With the easiness they were showing in the Russia game, it shouldn't be a problem to beat outsiders Latvia and Denmark . Both teams will mainly focus on the defensive part of the game. Tilander's decision to play with only two lines (as opposed to the Swiss in the game against Latvia ) helped to keep a high intensity in the game. It will also help to keep the competition high for places in these two lines. Great players like Janne Tahka or Tero Karppanen were only sitting on the Finnish bench during the game, which shows the quality of the Finnish roster. Interview with Markus Neimo form team Finland Can you describe the feeling after winning 16-1 in the first game in WFC 2004? We gave our best and I think we managed to play quite well. Of course, Russia wasn't that strong. They fought bravely, though. It was a good opportunity to getting used to the floor and the atmosphere here in Kloten. Will it be easy to adjust to the level of the better nations? The teams will get better, that's for sure. We have to stay focused. Today, we played as good as we could. We have to keep this attitude. It was like a practice game and we could build up self confidence. What is needed to adjust to the niveau of the better nations such as Sweden and Switzerland ? The teams will get better, that's for sure. We have to stay focused. Today, we played as well as we could. We have to keep this attitude. It was like a practice game and we could build up self confidence. What is your comment on the home team Switzerland ? I haven't seen them play. But I heard a lot of them. I think they play pretty well. I'm looking forward to playing against them on Thursday. Switzerland is the main opponent in our group. This game will be decisive. 5. Even if the chances to score were numerous, the ball just didn't want to get into the net. In the middle of the match, the referees called the jury member Martin Johansson, and after a discussion that lasted several minutes, the present school classes were asked to stop throwing pieces of paper on the field, because otherwise the hall would have had to be evacuated and the game played in front of an empty scenery. The referees discovered one single piece of paper of the size of around 2 x 2 centimetres on the field and felt compelled to interrupt the match….. For the players' security! Let's continue to talk about the game itself. The match had been very balanced so far, but Slovenia now wanted to turn the game in favour of their own interests. They went ahead two points after Brajic and Krzisnik each shot a savable goal. The Australians, obviously (and late) alarmed, got down to some good chances and Thien realized one of them five minutes before the end of the last third. But the hope for an Australian comeback only existed for 40 seconds until Brajic nicely lifted the ball into the far corner of the goal and scored again. Now Slovenia was two points ahead for the second time in this game. During the last minutes of the match, Australia replaced their goalkeeper for a sixth player and had to cope with two more goals. Interview with Clinton Teh (Captain Australia) Today it was a tight match, and the final score is definitely too high…. Clinton The: Unfortunately, we didn't realize our chances in the first two thirds. Slovenia was the more dominant team, but with a little bit of luck, we could have taken over the lead as well. Anyway, are you satisfied with the performance of your team? Clinton The: Yes, because, you know, all players but five of our team are WC-Rookies (newcomers). Those new players already got used to everything whereas the “old” players take more responsibility on and off the field. The chemistry is right and there's a great atmosphere in our team. In your team staff, there are a couple of Finish names to be found. How come? Clinton The: It were the Finish who first brought floorball to Australia a couple of years ago. We have always kept in touch with our floorball home country and that's why we're still working with Finish coaches. 5th WFC, B-Division, Group 4 Slovenia - Australia 5:2 (0:0,0:0,5:2) Saalsporthalle, Zurich SR Alakare/Koskela (Finland) 500 Spectator Scorer: 43. 1:0 Brasic (Sotlar), 49. 2:0 Krzisnik (Tomc), 55. 2:1 Thien (O'Brien), 56. 3:1 Brasic (Sotlar), 59. 4:1 Rebols (Brasic) (Australia without goalkeeper), 60. 5:1 Bogatas (Kriznar) (Australia without goalkeeper), 60. 5:2 O'Brien (Teh) Penalties: Slovenia 5 x 2" Australia none Remarks: 20.Min Tor der Australier aberkannt (goal after sirene) ===================================
