"Fine Time consists of the two chameleonic musicians Tom Time (Drums, Percussions, Synths, Sequencing a.o.) and Phil Fine (Guitar, Bass, Samplez, Synths and Vocs). From time to time some guest-musicians like the gifted young songstress Charlène and "Mister Bubbleizer" TooFaze from the bands Last Equinox and Jeff Stryker and the Cumshot Snypers join the band. To pigeonhole Fine Time is an almost impossible mission. Their repertoire stretches across New Wave/Age, Electronic-Body-Music, Ambient Sounds to the point of Reggae-rhythms. A sound that has not been heard since the 80"s. They mix modern sequencer-sounds with samples and conventional instruments like drums/percussions, guitar or bass-guitar. The musical results of this fusion are absolutly unique. The whole thing is rounded out by ambitious, political and sociocritical lyrics, which seemed to be extinct since the 70"s. An innovative project, which clarifies the change of the music-biz."

It doesn"t get more ethereal than Natalie Walker"s vocals on her latest,
With You. The music is infused with electro atmospheric beats and transcends most typical female pop soundscapes. There are slightly haunting, trip hop moments on tracks like "Crush," while "Over and Under" takes an opposite turn, with a synth-based, New Wave sparkle. Though "Lost My Shadow" sticks out as somewhat odd, channelling mid-80"s Annie Lennox in an obscure way, it"s safe to say that overall, Walker is in her element on this eclectic, light and breezy album. Alu is a singer/songwriter from the Los Angeles area. But, when we call
her a singer/songwriter she tends to lean towards a Bjork and Tori Amos sound over your conventional singers out there. When the record first strikes up and that quite and minimalistic beat kicks in you know that "Lobotomy Sessions" is going to be a special record. The record gives us a lot of different styles and looks. Starting with a track like "Martian Rendezvous" which is very "Bjorkian" in style and substance. The track is built around a lot of odd noises and the occasional string pops in and out of the track. "Casket Salesman" has the structure and the hook that could make it a solid pop song but the music sounds like a mix of Massive Attack meets the Adams Family theme song. But, the results are really cool as the finger snapping and the old rickety noises give it that full effect. "Circus Cosmos" gives out that bedroom recording styles with a sweet track that has a great overall lo-fi sound. Alu"s second album is a stunning record that drives you from start to finish. The record is a perfect late night record as it gives plenty of a dark shaded tracks for you to hide underneath and get thrown into a sweet slumber. "Lobotomy Sessions" is a dark and mysterious track that will up Alu"s stature. She has a great voice for the downtempo chilled out style of pop. Ex-London, now Berlin based duo Noblesse Oblige was formed in early 2004. Their music is a strange mix of disco punk, sixties French chanson and acoustic folk combined with lyrical wit and dark humour proved an appealing combination among the London hipster crowds.
