 European Stocks Rise on M&A; Asian Shares Climb on U.S. Sales

The MSCI World Index gained 0.4 percent to 1493.15 as of 4:47 p.m. in London, less than two points from its highest-ever close of 1494.32 on Jan. 2. ECB keeps interest rate unchanged
