Esta no site do Danish Club, o conteudo de palestra proferida pelo Sr. Anker Petersen no DX-Parliament em Laholm na Suecia no dia 16 de fevereiro de 2007, com o titulo

Tropical Bands in review. Lembrando alguns pontos curiosos desta palestra, segundo os seus registros (do Sr. Anker), 800 emissoras, ou 73% das emissoras ativas OT em

1973 desapareceram em 2007 (de 1106 para 307). O pais com o maior numero de emissoras e o Brasil com 45, mas as redes de radio com os seus sistemas de satelite

estabelecem uma tendencia de declinio, que de 1973 para 2007 registrou-se a perda de mais da metade de suas frequencias, no caso brasileiro. Alem do Brasil, e tracado

um perfil de diversos paise e regioes como o Pacifico, Guine Equatorial, Zimbabwe, America do Sul, Central, sendo muitos destes locais visitados pelo Sr. Anker.Casos

curiosos como p. ex. o da Indonesia que era um paraiso dexistico nos anos 1970, com suas 171 emissoras em 1973 ; em 2007 apenas15! Ele relata tambem uma

emissora que ouvi um bocado nos anos 1990 que e a Radio Lesotho em 4800kHz, que saiu do ar em 2002; o transmissor espera ate hoje pecas de reposicao. Escuta

Brown, quando de sua visita a R. Vanuatu em novembro de 2001. Eles usam um transmissor de 2 canais de 10 kW sintonizados em 4960 e 7260kHz, trocando as

frequencias de acordo com o nascer e o por do sol local. Durante a visita, um dos canais do transmissor desenvolveu uma falha, implicando no uso do mesmo canal o

tempo todo. O outro transmissor de reserva em 3945kHz estava desativado por falta de pecas; pelo que se ouviu no ano passado, este transmissor em 3945kHz foi

consertado mas a frequencia de 4960kHz continua sem ser ouvida; 7260kHz. ouvi em 12/08/06.

O decrecimo de emissoras em OT tem aumentado significativamente: de 1973 a 1997 sairam do ar uma media de 20 emissoras por ano, mas de 1997 a 2001 a media

saltou de 74 por ano! Atualmente tem se mantido na casa de 14/media/ano. Mantendo- se esta media o numero ZERO se atingira em 2029, quando entao se extinguirao as

OT. E o que farao os dexistas apos 2029? Segundo Anker Petersen, as ondas medias e as emissoras internacionais ainda resistirao.

Conditions were not great, especially from the east and the south.
At night the ongoing static made this CLE a tough one and weak signal work was not on order.
Quite a few stations with are a landmark in winter, were not audible at all.
E.g. ON-324, Norrkoping/Saab, Sweden, 1132km. Even the carrier of VOG-333.5, Voghera, ITA, 829 km was absent. Only one station from Italy was logged and the same

can be said about Spain.
Just like Vincent mentioned, DO-320 from Island had a nice signal last night, which made me check NF-325, Nordfjordhur, ISL, 1814 km, and sure enough it was audible

between the static crashes.
On Sunday- and Monday morning I had a pre-dawn session for the Canadians in the CLE range, but none were heard. On Monday 7 Canadians + OZN-372, Greenland,

were heard outside the CLE-range (QY-263, YHR-276, QX-280, DF-350, AY-356, JT-390 and JC-396, strong)

60 stations out of 161 previously logged in this frequency range made it into the log, of which 31 were logged as daytimers.

Hi Jim,

it's not POL-ARQ. It's the Russian navy FSK system normally
running at 50Bd/250Hz, also named BEE, 36-50 or T600 by some
decoder manufacturers. Unfortuantely this FSK system lets
the POL-ARQ modules on most decoders synch on the encrypted
bitstream, so in 100Bd mode it can easily be misidentified
as POL-ARQ.

MFA Warszawa has moved to SATCOM, so chances are slim to hear

a) Yesterday on HF-GCS the ALE idend "200201" show up with CRO and 180216 (USAF C-5)
I found one 00-0201 a Boeing C-17A Lot XII Globemaster III aircraft, "leased" to the
RAF (#ZZ171). Do the RAF C-17 still using the USAF styled ALE-idents ??
Or who it is ?? 2xxxxx are all C-17 ?
One 5708 kHz it AMDed with "CCCCPAARNNNN", which is a command for a pp
(not heard, QSY or "no joy"?) as follows:
CCCC= Header
P= Pre-programmed telephone number
ARN= Designator for the station to pp
NNNN= End
But who is "AAR" ? Is there any listing for the pre-programmed stations?

On 9025 it called 180216 which should be a Lockheed C-5C Galaxy (L-500)
(#68-0216) "satellite and large cargo carrier" aircraft

"operated by US Air Force crews on the behalf of NASA ... stationed

b) Who is using the ALE idend "TST" on COTHEN 8912 kHz?
Any COTHEN related "TEST" ident ??

c) The unid 6897.8 PACTOR-x station show up 2 times with a CW-id at the
end "___00621", maybe 3600621?
And a (?) second station was also active without any CW id.
It sounded like unsuccessful callings only (in PACTOR-I, no "TO" was
decoded). Maybe two stations callings a HQ, one had programmed a CW-id,
one not. Maybe that Moroccan / Atlas Mountain Weather Stations?
But I saw no loggings for these one for a long time.... Still active?
