Dappled Lace Café Curtain

Lace Kitchen Curtain
by Knit Picks Design Team

This wavy mesh curtain offers light and privacy for your home.
It can easily be made wider or longer if needed: every 10 additonal stitches equals 2½", and each vertical repeat of the pattern is about 3".
If you are feeling particularly ambitious, turn it into a bed skirt - just insert elastic into the finished hem so that it snugs up to your box spring.
A slightly loosened gauge gives the lace a more airy quality.

Finishing
Block curtain: in warm water, soak the curtain until it is thoroughly damp. Spread the piece across a large towel; roll the towel and curtain together and press gently to
remove the water (do not wring). Remove the curtain from the roll and lay on a flat surface to dry, pinning to measurements.
When dry, fold hem at turning ridge; using whip stitch, tack the bound-off edge to the WS of the curtain, making sure to leave both ends open.
To mount, slide curtain onto a 1" tension rod and set inside window.
