Simple crochet Christmas Stocking to dress up your home at holiday time.

Bernat Handicrafter Christmas Stocking

Finished Size: Approx 121/2 ins [32 cm] long

Materials:
Bernat Handicrafter Christmas Sparkle (11/2 oz / 42.5g)
Main Color (MC) (820 Red Sparkle) 2 balls
Contrast A (870 White Sparkle) 2 balls
Size 5.50 mm (U.S. I / 9) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 13 sc and 15 rows = 4 ins [10 cm]

Instructions:
Cuff: With A, ch 42. 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 41 sc. Ch 1. Turn.
2nd row: 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Ch 1. Turn.
Rep 2nd row until work from beg measures 31/2 ins [9 cm] ending with RS facing, joining MC at end of last row.
Leg: With MC, 1 sc in back loop of each sc to end of row. Ch 1. Turn. Rep 2nd row until work from beg measures 13 ins [33 cm] ending with RS facing. Fasten off.
Heel: With RS of work facing, miss first 30 sc. Join A with ss in next sc. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sc. 1 sc in each of last 10 sc.
Bring other side of leg around. Work 1 sc in each of first 10 sc. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in each of first 14 sc. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in each of first 7 sc. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. 1 sc in next sc of long row below. 8 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in each of next 8 sc. 1 sc in next sc of long row below. 9 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Rep last 2 rows until all 21 sc of Heel have been worked. Fasten off.
Foot: With RS of work facing, miss first 10 sc of Heel. Join MC with ss in next sc. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sc. 1 sc in each of next 10 sc of Heel. Miss next 2 sc of Leg. 1 sc in each of next 16 sc. Miss next 2 sc of Leg.1 sc in next 10 sc of Heel. Ch 1. Turn. 37 sts. Work 1 row even in sc. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in each of first 10 sc. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook - sc2tog made. 1 sc in each of next 13 sc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of last 10
sc. 35 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Work 1 row even in sc. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: 1 sc in first 10 sc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of next 11 sc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of last 10 sc. 33 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Work 11 rows even in sc changing to A in last sc.
Toe: Next row: 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Ch 1. Turn.
Next row: Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in next 13 sc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 15 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Next row: *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each sc across to last 2 sts. Sc2tog over last 2 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Rep from * until 3 sts remain, omitting ch 1 in last row. Fasten off. With WS of work facing, join A with ss in next sc of last long row. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sc. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 15 sts. Ch 1. Turn. Complete as first side of Toe from *.
Finishing: Sew Cuff and Leg back seams. Sew Foot and Toe seams. Sew corners of Heel closed.
Hanger: Join A with ss at back seam of Cuff. Ch 15. Ss to first ss. Fasten off.
