Из-за чего может появляться ошибка: entry not found in index
В Policy открываю документ, в нем выбираю (т.е. пытаюсь перейти в настройки полиса), , например Security Setting, выскакивает ошибка. Уже пробовал и пересохранять и этот документ и Secyrity Settings. Ничего не дает. Если перейти в Setting, то в разделе Security Setting есть данный полис
Добрый день!

Поставил на работе Lotus Notes 8.5 (Редакция 20081211.1925 (Release 8.5)). Все работает отлично, небольшие проблемы со шрифтами и открытием документов во внешней программе я исправил. Однако есть проблема - не работает функция просмотра документа во встроенном web-браузере. При попытке просмотра, например, doc-файла, выпадает сообщение "Отсутствует фильтр для этого файла. Попробовать открыть файл?".

Прошу помощи!

Chris Harris noticed his old Domino 8 server had some problems with dates and times. After watching it for a while, and doing some research, he found a Technote explaining the problem. He's made some changes to the Notes.ini and is waiting to see how it works.

Idea:
It would be helpful to have something like the following at the bottom of the various devWorks forum, blog, wiki pages to offer readers a simple UI ability (good example at bottom of this page) to tweet and otherwise easily push a forum/wiki post to other target forums/wiki/communities:
<twitter button graphic> Tweet this
<wiki button graphic> Wiki post this (pick your Lotus wiki from a list...)
<devWorks button graphic> Lotus devWorks forum/blog post this  (pick your Lotus devWorks forum, blog etc from a list...)
etc...
The link below contains the HTML code snippet to add the tweet (and other) sharing button and its underlying capability to an HTML page:

Idea:
On the Windows platform IE is the default and (to my knowledge) ONLY render engine used in Lotus Notes 8. This need to be changed as this can cause a significant security risk when people are reading emails from external internet addresses.
 
Any IE security hole could be exposed to the Notes client due to this.
 
Even MS have moved away from IE HTML rendering in Outlook as it so risky. Make it configurable or just add Mozilla to the Notes client.

Idea:
In Connections 2.5, the Files function in Communities is different than the general Files funciton.  Files in Communities you can't tag nor have a discussion around a File.  Everything should be taggable including Files in Communities.

Idea:
We are an old company and I am seeing a lot of resistance to move away from email.  Therefore, we still need email notifications to pull people in to use social media.  We deployed Connections 2.5 a few weeks ago and I really like the new notifications in Communities.  GREAT JOB!!  I received some complaint from client wishing to have a notification whenever someone posts a new topic in a Community.  If I'm the Owner of a Community, I would like to know when new stuff is posted.  Maybe design this "Community Notification" the same way as the "Topic Notifications" allowing people to turn on and off for the Community.

Idea:
I am a great fan of Connections Blogs and Activities.  I use an Activitiy to manage the QA portion of our Connections deployment (currently on 2.5).  This Activity bacame so large the performance became very bad taking minutes to just open.  This got so big because I was able to pull people in by using the "Notify Others" function.  I also use this in Blogs to notify other that may be interested in mine, or someone else's blog post.  We are still stuck in email and we need to use email to get people out of email.  I would like to see a function to notify specific people within a Community of a specific Topic Post, similar to Blogs and Activities.

Idea:
We just upgraded to Connections 2.5 a few weeks ago and really like the new way to insert an image into a blog post.  I use images in my Pofile and would like to use them in Community topics and Wikis.  It would be nice to use the image insert function in Blogs everywhere in Connections including Profiles, Communities, and Wikis.

Idea:
Hello,
 
Not an entire Db template.  Just a list of common sample forms to choose from to get you started.  The list could also include other previously created forms on that server.  I was working with Adobe Live Cycle for the first time and when you select a new form to create it gives you a nice list of forms to choose from.  I compared that to what I get when I create a new Notes form which is an empty page.  As a work around for years I would search DB's for a similar form and copy and paste it where I needed it and then began editing it.  The samples could include best practices and incorporate sample fields as well.

Idea:
Lotus Notes still has two features that seperate itself from other development platforms.  One is that the DB and document connectivety is built in.  The second is its built in security model.
 
To make it easier to assign security to specific sections of documents you should be able to just pick a user role for a selected field or paragraph and also select Read, Write or Edit access for the section selected.  This feature will further enhance notes security features that it already has over any other development platform. 
 
I know you can use @Ismember and AIf statements, but it does not quite get you there.  Being able to asign read, write and especially edit would be great.

Idea:
I open a file in Connections 2.5.  I make some changes then click save, or when I close the application (MS Office applicatiion) asks if I want to save and I click Yes.  Everything indicated that the file was saved but it was not.  It would be great if it would save back to the file container in Connections and increment the version number.

Idea:
 Right now (8.5.1), if you drag a contact to the desktop, you get some sort of weird link file.
 
It should convert that contact to a (properly extentioned) *.vcf file.
 
If you drag multiple to the desktop, it should create multiple, individual *.vcf files. 
 
(You can create on vcf file with multple contacts by exporting.

Idea:
The current implementation of Server Side JS has several inconsistencies in regard to the ECMA-262 spec(JavaScript 1.3) which I believe is what the Server Side JS in XPages is based upon.
 
This makes the API very unpredictable. Take Array.splice. According to spec, it should change the Array (remove item/-s), and return the deleted items. In Domino SSJS, it doesn't change the array, but returns an array with the items that remains after the deletion. Functions/objects are a little funky when doing more advanced stuff (function.call/apply). Regular expressions are also badly implemented.
 
What I fear the most is if the bugs remain for a couple of versions, IBM decides to keep the buggy API for backwards compatibility. :\
 
Here's an idea IBM: Why not use a SSJS engine developed by people who care about standards (Rhino)?

when I perform a search on a view via he 'Search this view' option my Notes client is frozen for a dozen of secons, depending on the size of the view.
 
I would rather like to be able to work with other tabs in the mean time.
