Генерация отчетов по вашим моделям ERwin
Построитель шаблонов отчетов создает в HTML, RTF и текстовом форматах предварительно определенные шаблоны отчетов, которые затем могут использоваться для генерации отчетов по любой модели. Например, если выбран формат RTF, создаваемый отчет будет автоматически вызывать локально установленное программное обеспечение для обработки текстов. Turning In His Grave? Genuine Respect for Codd’s Work

What is sad about the recent passing of Edgar (Ted) Codd, the inventor of the relational model (aside from the human and intellectual loss, of course), is not just how scarce eulogies have been; not that, as David McGoveran points out in his eulogy at DATABASE DEBUNKINGS, those who made fortunes from his invention shared nothing with Ted; not even that Forbes magazine published Larry Ellison’s photo next to its listing of the model among the 85 major innovations of the 60s — 70s decade (if that does not say it all about the IT industry, I don’t know what does). No, what is truly sad is that more than 30 years after his invention, even those who eulogize Ted in the strongest of language still do not really know and understand his contribution. This failure to learn frustrated him enormously, and it still does the few of us who fight the uphill battle to educate the industry. So perhaps the proper way to pay respect to Ted’s work — a way that he would probably appreciate — is to debunk fallacies and misconceptions about his invention that are so prevalent as to occur even in eulogies
SQL Server 2000 SP 3: What's New in Security

Service Pack 3 for SQL Server 2000 is huge. There are significant changes in it and they apply to all three products: the core SQL Server, MSDE, and Analysis Services. In the core SQL Server service pack are a whole host of new security options from cross-database ownership chaining to changes to multi-server administration (Windows authentication is now possible) to stored procedure changes like with sp_changedbowner. In addition to the security changes, improvements have been made to debugging, distributed queries, and replication. Because there are so many changes, this article will only focus on the security changes with the exception of those related to replication, because I'll cover all the replication changes in a forthcoming article. I'll also be following up this article with another one on some of the functionality changes in the core SQL Server not related to replication (improved debugging and linked server functionality).
