Russia will have no legal consequences, Georgia's Foreign Minister Yekaterina
Tkeshelashvili told journalists in Tbilisi today. Russia's unilateral acceptance
of the territories' independence does not mean anything to the international
community, the Minister said. She pointed out that Russia's position was not
in line with international law, as Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity
were recognized worldwide, and Russia was the only country to question them.
Tkeshelashvili noted that Georgia would remain in a state of war until Russian
troops withdrew from the Georgian territory.
