The Role:

Manages the execution of Supply Chain’s deliverables to overall program schedule requirements for hydraulic system that Eaton is developing for His Client program.

The position will have dual reporting to the Supply Chain Sub Contracts Manager (primary, functional manager) stationed in Jackson, Mississippi, USA; and Aerospace Eastern European Regional Supply Chain organization.  

This position will work closely with a global, cross functional Introduction Program Team (IPT) to ensure successful Eaton program execution from the award of the program from the customer to transition to full rate production.   IPT members include engineering, supplier development engineers, product development engineers, program management, and supplier representatives in Russia, the United States, and elsewhere globally. 

Specific tasks associated include, working with the Supply Chain team to meet critical path requirements, ensuring compliance with customer flow-down requirements, and ensuring success of the new product sourcing process.  This position will provide expertise in doing business in Russia (including fluent in both English and Russian); including aerospace requirements, supply base management, and contracts.  Strong supplier development and relationship modeling expertise of subcontractors are required to ensure contractual requirements are met and to support growth of the business relationship between Eaton and the subcontractor. This position is the liaison that connects Supplier to Customer requirements.  Position interfaces with the Program Manager, ensuring smooth flow of supply chain processes and complete alignment supplier through customer.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for the smooth and effective project management of the subcontractor, ensuring smooth flow of customer requirements through the supply chain. 

Use of sound program management techniques to ensure assigned subcontracts meet budget requirements for cost/schedule/performance.

Provides expertise in doing business in Russia (contracts, business terms, regulations, etc.) to Eaton program team. 

Leads Supply Chain negotiations of supplier costs and contract terms.

Manages the subcontractor by leading the entire business plan with assigned subcontractor through regularly scheduled program reviews with defined agendas and action lists for follow-up/close out

Ensure project compliance to all government and commercial contracting laws and regulations as applicable

Utilizes establish common processes, procedures, practices and templates from project inception through completion.  Proposes new processes, procedures, practices and templates to the SCM council when required.

Understands critical paths with the programs (proposal stage, pending win, win) including supplier dependencies and new program awards

Co-leads the Integrated Product Team (with the project manager) of the subcontract staff, Eaton project team leads and engineering, ensuring effective teaming to support the program

Develop with the IPT the Risk Management / Mitigation plan and ensure the plan is fully understood, deployed and periodically reviewed by the IPT and Eaton management

Integrate supplier in the Design Phase assuring participation in Design Reviews to maximize leverage during the design phase of design alternatives and solutions focusing on Cost As an Independent Variable

Establishes link from Customer Requirements to Supplier Statement Of Work and Performance Based Specifications. 

Develops a supply chain solution that meets the budget and profit plan for the project. 

Manages Russian Supplier Development Engineers and has leadership competencies and broad business skills to help establish Eaton Aerospace Supply Chain center of excellence in Russia to assist in supplier development and sourcing.

Qualifications:

Program/ Subcontract Management experience of complex, multi-million dollar, supplier of a major program(s)

Vision (looking forward) to see total scope of Program progress and able to move subcontractor along as necessary to keep progress moving (e.g. vision within Sourcing to detect other critical path processes that could impact subcontractor processes such as another supplier)
