We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer / Director of Engineering with the following key responsibilities

• Ensures overall effective maintenance of plants and building. Monitors costs so they are kept within budget.
• Controls and trains the fire team and conducts monthly training sessions for all staff.
• Designs preventive maintenance schedules as well as allocates and monitors work through his assistants.
• Supervises and controls the work of outside contractors.
• Records necessary data to prepare monthly reports to headquarters.
• Ensures that all work carried out by hotel engineers or outside contractors conforms to company and local legislative standards.
• Prepares and submits Fire Reports, Energy Summary, H.L.P. Report and Water
• Ensures that the air-conditioning plant is functioning correctly at all times.
• Implements and actively supervises the Energy Conservation Program.
• Carries out all personnel aspects including recruitment, selection, appraisal, discipline, grievance, and dismissal in conjunction with the HR Director.
• To be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all equipment within the department.
• To be aware of and implement all relevant aspects of Health and Safety-legislation and company procedures relating thereto.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Management expertise, Leadership Qualities, Ability to plan strategically, Understanding of physical & security system.
• Fast Learner with an ability to take direction. Proficient in Industrial & Commercial applications of engineering works, People and Results Oriented. Highly self motivated

Education:

• University / Technical College Diploma
• Advanced knowledge of: MS Word 2000, MS Excel 2000,
• MS Project, Outlook 2000, AutoCad Fundamentals, Internet & Email applications

Experience:

• At least three [3] years in similar position
