да и еще, можно поиграться с настройками репликации, т.е. выделить группу документов по определенному признаку и толкать их или вытягивать на/с сервер(а)
Ну, а что тебе мешает создать документ connection с односторонеей репликацией только Push или Pull???
Дело в том, что мне нужна автоматическая репликация в пределах одного сервера. Т.е есть БД1, которая лежит на сервере, на этом же сервере лежат ее реплики в разных папках. Надо чтобы БД1 своим репликам отдавала документы, но не принимала ничего.
Мы у себя долго мучались в конторе с AT.

А вы пользователю internet password добавили? Или вы пытаетесь лотусовый пароль ввести?
Добрый день.

Попробуйте в свойствах базы на 4ой закладке указать язык по умолчанию русский, а сортировать по умолчанию - кирилицей.
Нужно лишь правильно настроить реплику на базе.

Подскажите пожалуйста, могут ли на одном сервере существовать несколько реплик БД? И можно ли делать такую репликацию?
Приветствую, коллеги.
Коснулся такого вопроса, потребовалось создать оповещение к своей базе, по типу как это сделано в календаре. Т.е., по наступлению определенного времени, выскакивает popup окно, которое напоминает о предстоящем событии. Посмотрел, как это сделано в базе календарь, там создана папка ($Alarm) и видимо какой-то агент (не нашел его) работающий по расписанию, просматривает документы с этой папки и заставляет срабатывать окно оповещения. У меня вопросы: является ли папка ($Alarm) зарезервированной-системной? Каким образом можно создать свой собственный оповещатель подобного рода, работающий независимо от календаря?
Может уже кто-то делал подобное, поделитесь, пожалуйста, наработками и идеями

Many Lotus Notes Domino administrators can be frustrated with some limitations when using bulleted and/or numbered lists in Lotus Notes, specifically that a list restarts when you add a blank line. This workaround lets you maintain the proper order in your formatted lists in Lotus Notes.

Idea:

The option to show an editable text-editor toolbar for a rich text field in the Notes client would not only make the UI a bit more professional. It would also make it possible to move action buttons that I nowadays have to locate in the normal action bar into such a toolbar.

For example to resize selected text in a rich text field I use an action button with code like:

@Command( [TextNormal] );
Command([TextSetFontFace]; "Arial");
Command([TextSetFontColor]; [Black]);
Command([TextSetFontSize]; "14");

But such action buttons make the action bar messy (in the action bar I would only like to have buttons like save/edit/close...).

Idea:
Since there is no official blogger's lounge so to speak, what should one do if you want to meet someone?
Aside fom the Blogger BoF and the BALD dinner saturday night, if you wanted to meet or find someone, what would you prefer?
Some people don't want to be too forward, others I am sure will say just email them or call them.
Should we set up a time and place each day or after hours or something?
Or just leave it and let everyone get along best they can?
Any thoughts?

2. Make Tuesday the box-lunch day and open up all of the session rooms so people can watch the inauguration as a community if they choose to do so.
 
2. Perhaps IBM can spend some ka-ching and lease large screen displays (and I mean large screen) around the complex so people can watch as a community?.
 
This election drew global attention and interest, so why not share the moment with our friends and colleagues around the world? After all, to make the changes needed to turn this country around, collaboration will be key!

Show in the inbox when a person is out of office? Or even if you went to do new memo, and selected the person's name, perhaps it could tell you at that point that someone is out of office ?

Maybe, something similar to what there is in Sametime / Instant messaging, with a little symbol for out of office.

That way, if you knew in advance, you could send the mail to someone else rather than waiting for the out of office message to come back and tell you.    If you hadn't saved a copy of the mail you had just sent, you would have to type it all again to someone else.

Idea:
If you create a new database with replicas on other locations servers, and publish the new database by sending a doclink to the users at the same day, the doc/database link will always try to open the replica on the server the doclink was created from. This is because at this time does not yet exist database catalog entries for that new database. For that reason, the notes clients are not able to locate the "best" replica from the database catalog, and will try to open the new database from the "server hint" in the link which in many (most?) cases is not desired.
 
 
Solution: In addition to the usual nightly scheduled run, catalog task should also be resident in memory. This way, the catalog task could intercept database creation/deletion events, and (almost) immediately create/remove database catalog entries for the newly created database replica in the local catalog (or perhaps via AdminP).
 
Because now the catalog entries exist everywhere almost immediately after creation, db/doclinks sent at the same day always would open the "best" replica for a Notes client regardless of its location.

Idea:
One problem I continue to notice is backing up a users address book.  By default a user's address book is usually set locally.  Why not have a user's default address book set to the "Mail File Copy of Contacts" used for iNotes?  Then if the user wishes to have a local copy of their contacts then they can create a local replica.
 
I know you could setup roaming profiles or perhaps have their address book sit on a network drive, but I think this is much more simple right from the start when the user is first setup.

Idea: This may be a bug.

When you do NotesView.FTSearch, NotesView.getColumnValues() contains all row-values for the column specified, whereas NotesView.AllEntries, for instance, only return the resulting subset of the search.

NotesView.getColumnValues() is not documented, but it is available in code completion in Domino Designer.. Not sure if that means that it is partly supported.. :)

The canonical name can appear in the subject of Out of Office agent response when you use Blackberry Enterprise server with your Lotus Domino mail server.
When you try to open mail.box from the Messaging tab in the Domino Administrator client on a server with French Language pack installed, you get the error "Unable to open Mail view : invalid or nonexistent document".
You attempt to preview a document in the web browser using Actions -> Preview in web browser -> Internet Explorer. The browser is launched, but the user receives a "Page cannot be displayed" error.
You would like to create a link in a mail message in IBM® Lotus Notes/Domino® that points to a non-Notes file that is on a shared server.
In Lotus Domino when moving mail files, an error message displays referring to the Out Of Office (OOO) agent when running the AdminP task. What does this mean?
When marking a document private, it does not consistently replicate in a cluster or on schedule.
You receive the error message, "You are not authorized to perform that operation" when sending an email.
Using Lotus Notes, you open a document and the following error code occurs repeatedly (as many as 20-40+ times): #0C:03. The issue has been observed in cases where the Notes client has been upgraded to release 7.0 or later. The issue does not occur when opening the same document using a Notes 6.5x release. The issue has been observed in cases where the document's form design contains one or more Controlled Access Sections, created using Domino Designer release prior to 7.0.
After replacing your Notes 8 mail file with the German Language Pack template, Mail Options are duplicated when you reply to a message.
Users can sometimes encounter an error "Application not found" when opening a bookmark in the Standard 8.0.2 client.
The JSP compiler bridge for Lotus Notes 8.0.0 is available via web download in December 2008 from http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/downloads/toolkits.html Developers can use WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer 6.0.2 to build rich client components. When using Lotus Notes 8.0.0, the JSP compiler bridge feature must be installed to provide the runtime for rich client components created by WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer 6.0.2.
In a multiple user Notes install scenario, users are not given a choice at any time through install or setup to specify a different location other than the default for their Data directories.
