If you want to understand a people, first look at their language. Both English and Russian are full of keys to unlocking what is truly important to us. By examining words that repeat with great frequency in a language, we can gain valuable insights into how its speakers think and perceive the world around them. After having studied Russian for 10 years, I'd say that our languages have more in common than you might think. We often perceive and describe the world in similar ways.
