Hello my dear lady or sir ,

 

Today I want to propose you a letter from one young woman whose name is Svetlana.

 

«Dear Nadegda,

I would like very much to study at your course.

The point is that I feel that I’ve lost myself.

I am 29. I’ve graduated medical school and medical institute but worked on specialty only a year.

At that time – in the past – I had a clear idea of my future. I thought that I would be a doctor till retirement on a pension. My self-appraisal was all right.

It has happened that I left the service where I worked. There were many reasons.  

In several months I became pregnant and began to work as a hospital nurse.   Now I have maternity leave. My daughter is 2,2. I want so much she will be proud of her mother. But I feel myself useless because my job of a nurse is not higher level of job. All my friends-doctors asked me once at least why I “fall so low”? But I don’t want to be a doctor and at the same time I can do nothing else. I haven’t even become a good doctor. But I don’t know what to do in order to be successful, moreover – my age…

Nowadays all companies need the employees not older than 25 years old. Maybe it is too late to begin something and would be better to humble myself and to take my today’s life as a matter of course.

Svetlana is 29 and she thinks that it is too late to begin any new business in her life!

When “the kind people” tell me that it is late at my age to do these or those things I reply them that I just begin to LIVE!

It is true that there are many not only women but also many men like Svetlana.

Life is so difficult thing. Sometimes it drives one into “such corner” that this person can’t decide on his own how to extricate himself from this corner.

I want to tell you as the example one history from my life.

One day a woman called me. Her name was Vera (this name can be translated into English like belief). I heard sad law voice of the diffident woman. She told me her story. She is 44. She has 4 children: the eldest daughter is 24 years old, two suns (one of them is 16, another one is 7 years old) and the youngest daughter is 4. Two grandchildren are coevals of her younger children.

A husband, big house, household effects… For this moment she is unemployed. The last job was a cleaner at one state institution. She was dismissed from that job (administration didn’t like her).  In such a way she portrayed her situation setting her forehead on a high grey wall.

What did she try to do?

She tried to drink – it didn’t help. The problems did not finish. Moreover they increased.

She tried to find good job but she did not meet with success. As she said “Nothing could be lower than to work as a cleaner and from this job I was dismissed”.

She even thought to do away with herself!

And here she was advised to ask me for help.

We were speaking on the phone for 2 hours. When we said goodbye she told “I hope it’ll help me” and I replied: “Not hope but BELIEVE that it’ll help!”   

We arranged our meeting. I came to her home.

Vera tried to avoid my eyes and made excuses for her house was “not tuned-in”.

We began from her appearance: her hair, clothes, her eyes, speaking.

Then we strolled through the rooms and decided to rearrange the furniture according the laws of Fengshui.

When Vera left the room her youngest daughter came to me and said “You know, in the past my mother drank very much but she doesn’t drink now!” She looked strictly to my eyes and she was proud of her mother.  Suddenly I felt a lump in the throat but I checked the tears and said “Your mother is ATTAGIRL!”

Each member of Vera’s family was ready to change their life together with their mother and wife. They supported each other. It is true that it’s very difficult to turn over a new leaf nothing can be said against it. Your thoughts change and you begin to act in a new way.

But some relatives and friends were not ready to accept this family in new “image”. There were many misunderstandings, baseless insults and accusations. But this family was strong and all the members had a firm desire to start life afresh.  

In January this family will celebrate their first anniversary as they family began to change. For this year they changed their life for the better to everyone’s surprise. Friends don’t know Vera by her appearance in the street and always ask her “What has happened with you? You are quite another woman now.” Because now she looks strictly to your eyes and speaks in steady voice.

Now she feels that life is just beginning. She has great planes for the future. Her family supports and approves all her undertakings.  

But it was the period in her life when she thought that nothing can be changed.

She believed in HER OWN STRENGTH and what is the most important – she had the strong DESIRE to change HERSELF and change the life of her dear people.

My Dears, BELIEVE in your strength and whish you all the best!
