The grandfather of the famous industrialist Henry Ford moved to America with his family from Ireland in the middle of the XIX century. He began to build his life from scratch.
The hardworking Ford family managed to overcome problems and settled on their own farm, the birthplace of the automobile tycoon.
However, Henry did not want to be a farmer. He was interested in technology and earned money reconstructing and repairing mechanical devices. He was going to move to Detroit, but was forced to return to the farm.
Failure was turned into success. When Henry returned home, he met his future wife Clara Bryant, who became the most important person in his life. A considerable share of Henry’s success was her merit. Clara believed in her husband’s abilities and shared his dream to build a motor car. She always showed a genuine interest in Henry’s business, but did not intervene in it without his request.
Then the family moved to Detroit, they worked in an electrical company and assembled motor car engines in the shed near their house.
In 1893 there were two happy events in Ford family: the birth of a son and the creation of their first car. In 1903 Ford Motor Company was founded.
Five years later, Henry fulfilled his dream of producing cars that was affordable not only for wealthy people, but for the middle-class.
It was a model «Ford T», called «Tin Lizzy». It started the boom in the automobile market.
Ford family, united by one goal, achieved great success.
