This simple little rating system uses a little CSS to give the user a visual system of rating a document out of five stars (although you can customise to as many stars as you like). Менял ставил короткое имя и имя пользователя, все варианты перепробовал, без результатно. Вообще то мне кажется это для отправки почты по SMTP а не по NRPC. Почта внутре домена домино ходит не по SMTP а по NRPC.
Думаю поможет эта книга

Ну вообще-то да, внутри почта ходит по NRPC. А если попробовать изменить Mail System у пользователя и отправить ему почту, думаю преобразования не должно произойти.
Есть два сервера в кластере - serv1 и serv2 (оба из /dom/org) находятся в одной подсети 192.168.1.1 и 192.168.1.2, оба принадлежат к одной лотусовой сети "TCPIP network", для обоих серверов прописаны коннекшены. Из админки проверяю trace serv2 все пишется, все отвечается:

В документах сервера включены два порта в Ports

Обновил список серверов - Refresh server list-> All Domains, оба сервера присутствуют, но когда я пытаюсь переключиться на второй сервер - ошибка
Remote server no longer responding
Телнет с одного на другой в обоих направлениях по порту 1352 работает, репликация проходит между ними, а вот переключиться не дает. В чем может быть дело?

Спасибо конечно. Но таких книг у меня достаточно.

One thing I managed to do recently is get my hands on copies of Domino 8.5 -- designer and server. I'm now in the position to do what I've been meaning to for ages and delve in to XPages. I'd hate to get left behind and, having read nothing but gushing praise for them, I thought it about time I found out what all the fuss is about.

After all, I have a couple of clients who are moving (or have moved) to Domino 8.5, so I need to make sure I'm offering the best of everything I can.

The other day I fired it up and created an XPage called "test" inside a database called "test.nsf", as you do. Well, as I do. That's how I learn anyway -- just add loads of elements and mess with their properties and see what happens.

It wasn't long before I noticed something -- you can't add subforms. Or can you? A Google for "xpages subforms" hints at being able to, but for the life of me I can't work out how you embed one on to an XPage!

Assuming it is true that you can't, then this is a show-stopper for me. My whole approach to Domino design relies on the use of subforms and has done for eight years now. I understand that Custom Controls are like Subforms and could do away with them in XPages, but, unless you're creating a Domino website using nothing but XPages I can't see how that would work.

Every single page (mainly Forms) of every website I build with Domino uses a set of subforms called things like Header, Footer, Sidebar etc to contain the fixed HTML that makes up the design of the site. If XPages can't adopt this way of working then I can't see how I'd make them site inside my applications. And then there's the "Common Fields" subform that exists on all forms as well.

Can somebody put me out of my misery please? To save egg on my face I just spent another 10 minutes trying to work it out before pressing the publish button, but to no avail.

The simplest way to access items created with forms is to hard-code item names. But this presents a few problems. Learn how soft-coded items in LotusScript are easier to maintain and less prone to errors.


There I was yesterday morning half way through another blog entry about XPages when my UPS started to make odd ticking noises, my office light flickered a bit and then all the power died.

It was the first time this had happened since I bought the UPS and so the first chance to test whether it gave me time to power down both the Mac Minis attached to it and all the Windows/Domino server running in Parallels on one of them. Luckily it did and, because my work is done from a laptop, no data was lost.

What then though? No power means no work. After half an hour I got the idea it might be like it for a while and started thinking about what to do to pass the time.

First thing I did was go and post my VAT return. On the way back I called in to the village hall where Karen runs the toddler group and I spent half an hour there playing with the kids and singing nursery rhymes with them all.

After play group a load of the mums and their kids came back to ours for coffee and cakes, so I spent some time in the garden with all the kids which was nice.

Not long after they all left a neighbour called by to see if it wasn't just him without power. Before long we were sat in the local pub's beer garden enjoying the sun with a couple of shandies and a pub lunch.

After an hour or so in the pub we came back to ours and he called his wife to invite her and the kids over for dinner. Before we knew it they were leaving and it the day was all but done.

Then the guilt set in. While it was nice to relax for a day and do nothing I do like to get to the end of a day and think I achieved something during it. Trouble is, apart from posting a letter, I achieved nothing at all yesterday. Oh well, it was a nice day I guess.

It's funny as only the other day I was thinking about how I wish something exciting would happen. Having worked from home for the last 5 years I'm finding life very predictable. Sometimes I find myself wishing for something to happen out of the ordinary, like, I dunno, a meteor landing in the street or something.

A power cut wasn't really what I had in mind, but at least it broke the pattern. XPages will have to wait until tomorrow now. I've got some work to catch up on.

Idea: I like to use WEBDAV on Domino to publish simple websites. Some tools I use, generate .html pages that are called with url-parms, like:
http//path/picturegallery.html?id=something&style="somethingelse."
Trying to open this on domino creates an Error 500.
Rearranging the link to:
http//path/picturegallery.html?open&id=something&style="somethingelse"" works.

The above of course works on apache, so I'd like to see domino react the same way, self-generating the in-between open, so I will not have to rewrite .js stuff all the time.


There is a new simple XPages control on OpenNTF - floating panel. Essentially this control is just a wrapper for the dojo.dnd.Moveable class which can now be easily used in XPages. You can run it live ...

An iSeries Domino® job is not responding to a Client connection request.
