Здравствуйте. Извените за то что вопрос может быть глупым, но я в этой тем полный ноль.
На Lotus Domino 6 поднят документооборот(Босс Референт). Настроена почтовая рассылка так что система при необходимости шлет сообщения пользователям на внешний почтовый сервер т.е. насколко я понимаю Почтовая система Lotus Domino настроена как надо. Вопрос в том есть ли в почтовой системе сервера Lotus Domino сервис позволяющий разослать письмо всем пользователям.

The current economic climate continues to make the headlines and often people find themselves turning to consulting practices to carry themselves through an "in-between-jobs" stage or as a permanent option. It takes a certain type of person to succeed as a consultant. Do you have what it takes? Well, do you?

Do you have what it takes?
If you're toying with the idea of jumping into the Lotus consulting arena, get a clear picture of whether or not you really have the proper tools to thrive in that role by answering true or false to the following statements:

  • I am a take-charge kind of person.
  • I can influence most people.
  • I enjoy the thrill of taking calculated risks.
  • I am proactive and prefer to set my own deadlines versus have someone impose them on me.
  • I have excellent health and lots of energy.
  • I like the challenge of facing obstacles and solving problems.
  • I have the emotional ability to bounce back after failure.
  • I can make sound decisions in a hurry.
  • I have the staying power that enables me to keep at a project despite obstacles or discouragements.
  • My friends and family are supportive.
  • I know how much money I will need to carry me through until I am self-supporting.

If you've answered false to most of the above, running your own consulting businesss is probably not for you. If just have a few false answers, these are indicators of where you can focus your energy to build a consulting practice. And if you answered true, nothing's going to stop you!

Idea:
OKej, so (in 8.5) you have from Designer the option to open the application in the client directly from the right mouse menu. Why not the same option but then for the web browser and open the application with the default launch option for the web?

Idea:
We currently have:
- scheduled replication
- cluster (streaming) replication
I would like to see the following additions/variations:
- "On Change PUSH replication". When a document gets save this one document is pushed to the databases specified for that server. This would be like a "lazy cluster" without failover or load balancing but good consistency between databases. Typical scenario: user updates information on a branch server and changes are instantly pushed to the HQ server. "On Change PUSH replication" would be available on CLIENTS as well. So whenever I change a local document the changes would be available on the server very shortly thereafter.
- "On Access Query Pull" replication. This would be a "replication option" available only on a Notes client. When the Notes client accesses a local document the client makes a short query to the specified Domino server if that one document has changed since the last regular replication. If no -> just open it, if Yes - messages in the status bar "Retrieving server updates for the document" and pulling of the latest updates for this document. Optional: also trigger a regular background replication then.
Use case: Users with local database copies on slow networks.

Two issues have been identified in Notes 7.0.4 that occur only in bidirectional languages (Arabic and Hebrew). These issues do not occur in Notes versions prior to 7.0.4 nor do they impact Domino servers. See below for more details.

When your Lotus Domino server is upgraded from 8 to 8.0.1, the mail quota thermometer does not display in Lotus Notes 8.0.1 Standard edition. Replacing the design or creating a new replica or new copy of the database does not resolve the issue.
In Lotus Notes, a section with a border style displays differently in 7x and 8x versions.
When you press the Escape key to close a MIME message, the following error will occur: "An error has occurred. See error log for more details". If you go back into the same document, and perform the same operation again, the error may or may not occur.
