WHAT I THINK ABOUT ADVERTISING

0 Today,unlike in the past, we are all surrounded by brand names, (correct)

01 But my friends and I are familiar with all the different of advertising
02 techniques that can be used to because we see them so much, and
03 we know when a company is just trying to sell us a product although
04 whether we need it or not. I do actually quite enjoy advertisements,
05 especially if they are funny or amusing in some way but I try myself
06 not to be too influenced by them when I go for shopping. I remember
07 a good avertising campaign, for a new energy drink, which was used
08 an unusual tec hnique. The company got thousands of empty cans
09 of the new drink and left them lying everywhere - on more cafe tables,
10 even though in litter bins. We all saw the cans, and wondered what
11 the new drink was like. But when we tried to buy it the drink in cafes
12 and in shops, we couldn't have. When the drink was finally available
13 we all rushed out to buy it. This was unusual for me because that I
14 do normally try to buy things I really want rather than so what
15 advertisements say I should have. I quite enjoyed the drink, though!

TEA BAGS

These days, in million of homes around the world, people make cups of tea (0) WITH tea bags. But (1)... first thought of putting tea leaves (2)... small bags? It was an American, in 1919. At (3)... time, the bags were mainly used by tea companies to allow customers to try the te a before buying it. But the idea of the tea bag took (4)..., and by 1935 most were being bought for use (5)... home.
It wasn't long (6)... tea bags started to become popular in countries outside America. But there were not an immediate success everywhere. In Britain, for (7)..., people held very strong views on (8)... to make a good cup of tea. There was a strict procedure which involved warming teapot, putting on spoonful of tea for (9)... person into the pot and then filling (10)... with boiling water. The pot was then left (11)... five minutes before the tea was poured into cups, and milk and sugar were added.
However, (12)... this strong tradition, nowadays things (13)... changed. Modern people lead busy lives, and making the perfect cup of tea properly is (14)... important than making it easily and conveniently. These days, over 75% of the cups of tea drunk in Britain (15)... made with tea bags.
