The successful applicant will become a technology expert in the area of modern version control systems, especially in Subversion. We want people who are prepared to learn hard and achieve a deep level of knowledge of Subversion technology within their first six months at VisualSVN. Although you will be guided by the core members of the VisualSVN Team, you will be expected to seek out the knowledge you need.
As a customer care engineer at VisualSVN you will be also:
Play the role of technology evangelist. On the pre-sales stage, you will not only help international customers with our online order processing system, but also advise customers on technical matters of VisualSVN products and Subversion itself.
Investigate any technical problems experienced by customers. At this point you will be faced with state-of-the-art development and network environments. You will also be challenged to reproduce the customer’s problem in a virtual sandbox.
Participate in the development process. Our goal is not only to provide the best customer care service; we are also constantly working to improve the quality of our products. This is a never-ending process and your responsibility will be to provide formal descriptions of identified technical problems, prepare reproduction scripts and conduct any other details about the overall experience of VisualSVN products.
Plan your work time. You should be organized enough to sort, prioritize, track and resolve many technical and pre-sales requests.
