Хорошо, что задала этот вопрос! Половина ответов - НЕ ЗНАЕМ КАК ЭТО СДЕЛАТЬ :-) Если лично у Вас другая причина, то огромная просьба просветите меня об источнике низкой эффективности моей рассылки.

Сегодня дам только краткую подсказку как подписаться для самых шустрых:
В каждой рассылке есть несколько ссылок "Подписаться на получение новых сообщений", а в каждой ссылке указан _почтовый_ адрес для подписки:
отослать туда пустое письмо, ответить серверу "Yahoo! Groups" на его запрос.
Всё.

Для дотошных - кто не любит ориентироваться по обстановке - детальнейшая инструкция будет повторно опубликована в выпусках, начиная с понедельника.

Let me give an example - John Doe sends a post to the SMITH-L Mailing List. John Doe's system is NOT infected. Every one of the 2,000+ users of the SMITH-L Mailing List receives a copy of John's email. One of these users, let's call him Bill Smith, has the W32/Badtrans@MM virus on his system. Now, Bill has a copy of John's email in his Outlook program. He doesn't read it right away. He reboots his computer and, when Windows restarts, the virus looks through Bill's email in Outlook. It sends a reply to the sender of EVERY unread email, AND attaches a copy of itself as a separate attachment. It copies all the original headers, including those that show the email came through SMITH-L@r.... Then John, the original sender of the email, receives a "reply" to his email, from Bill. John looks at the email and sees that it is a reply to his original post. He also sees SMITH-L@r... in several of the headers. As far as he's concerned, he has received a normal reply back through the Mail ing List. If John is a "newbie", one of two things happen ... ( дальше )

Hi everyone, I am a graduate studnet presently working on a review article on microarrays. I am confused with the classification of micro/macroarrays available in the market. The review article is aimed at the LAY MAN or NEWBIE to microarrays (its kind of an introduction). I started to classify the arrays based on density of spots, probe material, and support material used. However, there is lot of overlap in the information leading to confusion. I would be happy if you could help me answering the following questions 1)what is the best commercial classification available for microarrays? and what parameters are taken into consideration? 2)Where do you place microelectronic arrays in the classification? 3) what is the major difference between microelectronic arrays and high density oligonucletide arrays. 4) what are the advantages/disadvantages of Oligonucletides over cDNA arrays ...
