What does it mean?
1. You have a sore on your knee 'cause you fell down. In a few days you fell
again and scratched away the crust and enlarged your sore. We say it's not
a salve because salve is supposed to cure and your fall not.
(У вас болячка на коленке, т.к. вы упали. Через несколько дней вы снова
упали и содрали корку и увеличили болячку. Мы говорим, что это не мазь,
потому что мазь лечит, а падение - нет.)
2. Sometimes people are very narrow-minded. They find the solution to one
ptoblem and don't realize that it damages many other things. And it's not
only a salve for a sore!
(Иногда люди бываю очень ограниченными. Они находят решение для одной
проблемы и не понимают, что это разрушает многое другое. И это касается не
только мази для раны!)
| - To forget his divorce, he stopped his business, broke with friends, moved to another city. Morally he fells ok but all the rest leaves much to be desired! | - Чтобы забыть свой развод, он закрыл бизнес, порвал с друзьями, переехал в другой город. Морально он чувствует себя хорошо, а вот все остальное оставляет желать лучшего! |

1. It's in fashion now to pierce skin on the belly and decorate with rings,
nails, etc. You did it with a button.
(Модно сейчас прокалывать кожу на животе и украшать колечками, гвоздиками
и т.д. А Вам захотелось пуговицу.)
2. Maybe there is really something on your belly that reminds the button
very much.
(Может, действительно, есть на животе то, что напоминает эту самую пуговку)
Here's the meaning:
A kid asks mummy:
| - Mummy, why do I have the belly button? | - Мамочка, почему у меня есть пупок? |
And mummy replies:
| - Before your birthday you were buttoned to me. | - До рождения ты был ко мне "прикреплен". |
